Audiology Treatments

The Audiologists at East Texas Sinus and Dizziness Center evaluate and treat all types of hearing loss for patients of all ages. From the typical hearing loss noted as we age, to inherited hearing losses that run in families, to those associated with all types of diseases of the ear, a full range of testing is offered to evaluate the type, severity, and source of the hearing loss. This allows Dr. Morton and his staff to plan the optimal treatment for each patient’s particular hearing loss. Michelle Heath MS, CCC/A works directly with Dr. Morton to assist each patient in deciding which option best suits their particular problem and lifestyle.

A variety of audiology tests are done including audiograms (hearing tests), tympanometry (checking pressure and compliance of the eardrum and middle ear), speech discrimination and word recognition, acoustic reflex testing, and even testing for tinnitus (ringing in the ears) including frequency-specific testing to help come up with possible treatment strategies.

A full array of hearing aids are offered under Michelle’s direction, with Dr. Morton available for any medical issues that may affect the performance of a patient’s hearing aid. This medical backup is a distinct advantage East Texas Sinus and Dizziness Center offers over all other hearing aid vendors. With Michelle’s experience in not only hearing aid sales and service, but clinical audiology at the Dallas Ear Institute and now the East Texas Sinus and Dizziness Center, our offices offer the most complete audiology services available.
